Tāne Cook is the Kaiwhakahāere – Cultural Leader at Te Taiope Huringanui – Turning Point Trust. A native speaker of Te Reo Māori, Tāne is a strong advocate for the revitalisation of Te Reo me ōna Tikanga. With more than 20 years’ experience working in the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Education sector including the Primary Industry and Māori Health service, Tāne's professional aim is to raise capability and capacity improving outcomes for Māori, whānau, whai ora and communities by providing services that enable people to engage and develop pathways to growth and success.
