Cultural Connections is a council staff training package delivered by Te Pou Takawaenga Māori Unit. During Matariki we open this training to the public. This is delivered over two consecutive days. Day one is in the office and day two is the Bus Tour.

Day one: Key historical and contemporary issues relating to our region and protocols for engaging with iwi and hapū.

Day Two: Walking the land - a tour of significant cultural sites across the city, linking our land and our people. This programme is for adults only. Light kai and bus tour provided.
