Tuesday 04 February to Tuesday 18 February

Tue 04 February to Tue 18 February

Gelli prints can be used as backgrounds for other print mediums such as lino cuts; collage work; and book making or be used alone for creating monoprints. Have fun experimenting with a new medium, beginners welcome, learn how you can print from home. The gelli plate is very responsive and it is possible to achieve a level of detail that can be difficult with other methods. Three hands-on evenings will provide the opportunity to learn basic gelli-plate printing skills include simple stencilling and caring for your gelli plate. More advanced techniques include making image transfers; printing to fabric; and print effects such as dentritic printing. Be prepared to go away with a collection of your own creations that will amaze your family and friends.
