Sat 22 June, 12:30-14:00

The Artery, Historic Village, 159 17th Avenue, Tauranga

Learn to make the traditional poi with Zebulin Kapareira Mohi.

Poi were used by early Māori as a way to keep their hands flexible for flax weaving, and also as a training tool to build strength and coordination for using weaponry.

These workshops will be suitable both for complete beginners and for those who have already had a taste of making poi and are keen for more.

Two sessions available, workshop for adults.

No registration needed – drop in, but be on time as there are limited spaces available. Free, koha appreciated.
