Discover Matakana Island! Experience island culture and customs.
Enjoy stunning views with interesting and varied terrain: farmland, hills, road and estuary. We will be walking from the wharf at Matakana Island to Te Ahipuhipuhi and over the hills.
Join us for this 12km remembrance walk open to families, friends… everyone! Or anybody that is keen to visit or those that are curious minded and wish to see Matakana Island. All proceeds for the hikoi will go to Waipuna Hospice, where Neil and whanau received such wonderful and loving care in his last weeks. Everyone is welcome to take part for whatever reason.
